The Grant County is one of Kershaw’s original Officer Ranch knives. Like its brothers, this little work knife was born and proven on Pete Kershaw’s ranch in eastern Oregon. This is the one that can carry in the fifth pocket of your jeans, in a shirt pocket, in a fanny pack, or any small storage spot. Pull out to quickly cut through cord, open a package, or even break down a box.
The Grant County is the smallest of our Officer Ranch knives and offers a 1 7/8-inch blade of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. The steel provides a good balance of toughness, edge sharpness, and corrosion resistance, while the swaged clip-point blade provides an aggressive point for piercing tasks, and enough belly for smaller slicing tasks as well. The handle is stainless steel inlaid with cross-grooved ABS inserts on both sides for a secure grip under a wide variety of environmental conditions.
The lock back design is extremely sturdy and keeps the blade securely in place when in use. To release it, the user must depress the locking mechanism on the back of the handle. The Grant County is drilled to accept a lanyard so your blade is always close at hand when you need it.
